SENIOR OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality therapy services aligned with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) guidelines, aimed at improving the functional independence and quality of life for our clients. Duties and Responsibilities
Duties of this role include but are not limited to the following:
Conduct comprehensive assessments in line with NDIS guidelines to evaluate clients' abilities and challenges in daily living and work environments.
Contribute to the professional growth of and supervision of a team.
Develop and implement personalised, NDIS-compliant treatment plans in consultation with clients, families, and support teams.
Provide therapy to help clients improve, regain, or maintain skills needed for daily life, ensuring plans align with their NDIS goals.
Collaborate with other health professionals and NDIS plan managers to ensure holistic, client-focused care.
Monitor and document client progress in accordance with NDIS reporting requirements, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
Educate clients, families, and caregivers about strategies for improving function and maintaining independence.
Advise on adaptive equipment, assistive technology, and home/workplace modifications to support client goals within their NDIS plans.
Stay updated on the latest practices, regulations, and NDIS guidelines in occupational therapy.

Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy.
Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Proven experience in occupational therapy, with a strong understanding of NDIS (at least 2 years preferred).
Experience in a wide variety of NDIS reports including Functional Capacity Assessments, Assistive Technology recommendations, Home Modifications, Supported Independent Living, Individualised Living Options, Specialist Disability Accommodation.
Knowledge of NDIS processes and requirements, including NDIS plan management and reporting.
Valid Driver's Licence and reliable transport (if home visits are required).
Current National Police Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
Skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience working with NDIS participants.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, particularly in developing NDIS-compliant treatment plans.
Excellent time management and organisational skills.
Empathy and patience in dealing with diverse client needs.
Knowledge of relevant legal and ethical frameworks in healthcare, including NDIS and AHPRA guidelines.
